...Searching for Metadata...
Welcome to SAWAP/BRICKS GeoPortal!
This Geoportal was developed to support the Sahel and West Africa Program (SAWAP) which was set up by the World Bank and the Global Environment Facility in order to help solving problems related to natural resources (including land and water) in twelve sub-Saharan countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad, Ethiopia, Ghana, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sudan and Togo), but also at the scale of the whole region.
Developed in the framework of BRICKS, project implemented by three institutions - CILSS, OSS and IUCN - the Geoportal is a centralized platform for publishing and sharing of various resources and metadata via the Internet. It has been built by OSS, which is in charge of SAWAP program’s M and E and GIS activities.
The Geoportal is a tool devoted to the publication, discovery, uploading and sharing of resources and spatial data as well as derived information.
Based on international norms and standards, this SAWAP/BRICKS geoportal allows finding, downloading, publishing and sharing maps, spatial data, satellite imagery and documentations on National SAWAP Projects related to the 12 countries members of the SAWAP Program.
